  12. TheMod is a competition severmod for quake.
  13. It's multiplayer only, it has a RocketArena server built in
  14. and it's highly optimized with respect to CPU demand and bandwidth usage.
  15. Besides, it has got all the well known features of a competition server
  16. like simultaneous match-starts, random respawns, ON/OFF toggles for
  17. powerups, voting system for server administration by the players,
  18. random map rotation for FFA modes, observer cameras and other nice stuff.

  21. The RocketArena mode runs at around 35 FPS on my A1200 68060/66 AGA,
  22. with virtually no slowdown in combat! (pixelmode 2, fov 100, viewsize 100).
  23. No difficulties in keeping a smooth framerate - even when 060 is server:)

  25. I hope this could be THE deathmatch mod for Amiga
  26. (and those PC quakers who still play RQ, for that matter).
